	Four star, two-storey self-catering cottage adjoining attractive lochside home in large garden, overlooking the Gareloch. Sleeps 2. Excellent touring base for Loch Lomond, Stirling, Trossachs, Inveraray and Western Highlands. Forty minutes to Glasgow Airport.
	The cottage has a private entrance. A small hall leads to a large open-plan kitchen/living-room with views over the garden to the loch. The kitchen is fully equipped including oven, hob, extractor, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, washing machine/dryer, toaster, foodmixer, iron and ironing board. The living area has a maple dining table and chairs, a double sofabed, easy chair, and a feature-fireplace. There is a T.V. with Freeview, DVD player with a selection of DVDs, radio/CD-player, a good choice of books and toys, plus lots of tourist information about this area. Upstairs, the double-bedded room has panoramic views of the Gareloch and is furnished with an antique four-piece suite. It has a hairdryer, radio/clock/alarm, and television. The bedroom adjoins the newly refurbished bathroom – with over-bath electric shower, constant hot water, shaver point, towels, and a selection of toiletries. A cot, or a single futon, is available. We provide all bedlinen, plus towels, tea-towels etc. The cottage has gas central heating. No smoking throughout.
	Outside, there's a patio with table and chairs, a large garden, and ample off-road car parking space.
	Attractions Argyll and Bute is arguably Scotland’s most scenic county with excellent road and rail links to the rest of the country. Garemount Lodge is an ideal base for exploring – we’re on the Clyde Sea Lochs Trail, a mile from the village of Rhu (friendly pub, 2 hotels, post office and shop). Helensburgh. four miles away, has two railway stations (south to Glasgow, north on the picturesque West Highland Line), and boasts many independent shops selling a wide variety of goods. There’s Charles Rennie Mackintosh’s masterpiece The Hill House, restaurants, golf, tennis, bowling, putting, a swimming pool, fitness centre, and a variety of pleasant walks. The Waverley, Britain’s last ocean-going paddle-steamer, sails from Helensburgh to the Kyles of Bute during the summer. The Loch Lomond National Park with its visitor centre, shops, and tourism attractions is nearby. Glasgow, one of Europe’s top-destination cities, is 25 miles away. It's a great city for retail therapy, plus there are museums, art galleries, restaurants, theatres, and great Victorian architecture. Glasgow Airport is 20 miles away whilst Edinburgh is an hour and three-quarters drive. Less than an hour away, are the Trossachs (Rob Roy country) , Stirling Castle, the William Wallace Monument, Blair Drummond Wild-Life Park, and Inveraray Castle (home of the Duke of Argyll). There’s sailing on the Gareloch, and Shandon Country Pursuits, a short walk away, offers clay-pigeon shooting, quad-biking, fishing, or archery. From your windows, see sailing boats or even a submarine enroute to the Clyde Submarine Base, half a mile away.

	A deposit of 20% is required at the time of booking in order to confirm your reservation. Payment by cheque or Paypal. The balance of this amount should be paid four weeks prior to your arrival date. Taking out a travel insurance is recommended as these amounts are non-refundable.
