'puesta Del Sol' - La Azohia, Mazarron
Nearest town: San Javier
Located in La Azohia – a small, sleepy and largely undeveloped fishing hamlet nestled at one end of the bay of Mazarron – is ‘El Pinar de San Gines. A newly built, quality development situated just 500 metres from the beach and sandwiched between rugged Spanish Mountains and the Mediterranean Sea.
The Apartment:
This first floor air conditioned apartment comprises an open-plan lounge, dining room and kitchen, a double bedroom and twin bedroom, both with fitted wardrobes, and a bathroom with full size bath and shower. All towels and linen are provided for guests. The kitchen is fully equipped and comes complete with all crockery, cutlery and kitchen utensils as well as a brand new washing machine. The lounge is spacious and comfortable with a dining area to one side. Satellite television with full UK Freeview programming and a CD/DVD player are also available.
To the front of the apartment is a balcony, and upstairs on the roof is a large solarium/sun terrace that benefits from spectacular panoramic sea and mountain views as well as all-day sun. It is a lovely place to enjoy evening drinks and stunning sunsets as well as a fantastic place to top up your tan during the day. Sun loungers are provided for this purpose!
In addition to all the essentials we have also ensured that the flat is ‘baby-friendly’. High chair, travel-cot, bath mat and baby cutlery are all on offer and all reachable plug sockets have been covered if not in use. There is a pushchair, but it is pink, so parents of boys be warned!
The Pool:
From the kitchen window there is a lovely view of the communal pool. Open year round, it is accessed via a gate and is serviced daily making it clean as well as safe. There are several of these pools on the development so it never gets overcrowded.
We are happy to provide a Welcome Pack consisting of basic essentials which will be left in the apartment prior to your arrival. Please contact us with any specific requirements and we will try to accommodate. Price on application.
The Area:
The development has it’s own bar/grill, serving traditional ‘pub grub’ and plenty of cold beer (Please note: The Pines bar/restaurant located in the development is currently closed). There are several restaurants within easy walking distance of El Pinar serving traditional Spanish dishes, local seafood and tapas. There is something on offer to suit all. In La Azohia there is a small but well stocked supermarket for all your supplies as well as a pharmacy, a wine shop and a number of other small shops that open in high season.
Ten minutes (by car) along the coast is the bustling town of Puerto de Mazarron. Here you will find everything you would expect from a vibrant (yet still very Spanish) tourist town. The beach and promenade are very clean and lined with bars and restaurants. The old port has recently been redeveloped into a luxury marina and promenade.
The whole area/coastline is lovely and well worth exploring, with hidden antiquities and traditional Spanish charm in abundance. Hiring a car is advisable.

So many that we couldn’t list them all, so here are just a few. More details can be found in information pack for guests in the apartment giving contact numbers and suggested activities. For any further help, the Tourist Information centre in the centre of Puerto de Mazarron have friendly English-speaking staff who are always happy to give you more ideas!

How to Get Here:
The nearest airports are San Javier and Alicante, just 45 and 90 minutes away respectively. Upon completion of your booking, you will receive an e-mail with detailed directions from both airports. Upon arrival you will be met by our local representative who will hand you the keys to the apartment and show you around.
